Small trimmers, seems people use them for coronet trimming, fetlock trimming, whiskers etc, I'd like to invest in them. Any recommendations? Have never seen a small set.

Not looking to spend megabucks on proper clippers - want them just for the tidy up jobs :) Thanks.

I think I have the same Clonin - I have a pocket pro - a tiny blue one - great for whiskers and coronony band but it wouldn't do the fetlocks of anything like that...

i can leave the fetlocks out (i do them with scissors at the moment) the liveryman ones look great but too expensive for me, i'll google those wahl ones

I have Liveryman Element trimmers and Liveryman Flair trimmers (which are smaller and I use for ears and around the face) :)

The pocket pros are only about €15 euro anyway...
Plus thinking about it B's coat would be so much finer so you could get away with it for the fetlocks...

If you're thinking of buying the small Wahl ones, then have a look at the Lister Picos as well :)

I got a nice set of trimmers to trim the dogs and horses from Argos listed under mens grooming cost me about €15. Just had to make sure that the trimming combs and height adjusters where suitable. I think they where supposed to be beard trimmers. I needed them in a hurry and couldn't wait for them to be ordered so I though oh well my horse has a beard too!

He's grand to clip thank god, don't be giving him ideas!!

I am looking for cheapo here.. my flamboyant cash days are over! Must check the local tackshop and see what brands they hold in stock too, i think they may have those little wahl ones which would be great, no postage :)

ha ha! I meant he has hardly any hair! I actually bought a little pair of trimmers ages ago and they wouldn't cut through Texas's hair so I'll check if I still have them and if they work you can have them! they'd trim his fine TB hair no prob!! :D

Mine look very like those and are wahl too! I just used them to do under the jaw, ears etc. They only manage the little wispy bits of hair that TBs have on their fetlocks though, didn't do anything for my halfbreds cob like feathers!

yes i think that is it . mine is red tough (probebly comes in different colours)
i would not use it for fetlocks either as the friesians are not to be clipped there , but as you said the wiskers and ears its brilliant.
