Anyone doing them or have already done them?

When I was in Spain in March, the guy who owned the riding holiday place is a horse trainer.
He says that 60% of what he does is 'Parelli', 15% is 'Monty Roberts' and the rest is his own. (And I have to say, he trains amazingly!)

Anyway, he taught me a lot over that week. He showed me how to look past the commercial side of Parelli and made me realise that it works!

So since then we have done everything we do by natural methods.

I have started the 7 games, I have got as far as number 4 (weather dictates every thing I do as we only have a field at the moment).
Kainer has picked them up quite well, although the Yo-Yo game needs a bit more work!

What are your experiences?

It's basically getting your horse used to getting out and back into your space...

the yo yo game is basically getting the horse to move away from you and then get him to come towards you with the slightest of pressure.
Initally you will be learning and your horse will be learning so you will have to get him to understand what you mean.
I use the rope like parellli but i dont wiggle wiggle it .
I start first by leaning my body Towards to horse some horses may go back on you leaning towards them (most wont )

so then i start with gentle tapping but gradually increase until the horse moves backwards ( he may side step come towards you run away etc etc) i release the pressure on the rope the "instant " i get the horse to move backwards now it may initally be a lean backwards or one hoof moves an inch that is the first step once you take the pressure off the second the horse rocks or steps back stop asking
Otherwise you will have missed the horses "answer " to your question and he will wonder what the hell does this person want.

you will gradually build this up to where the horse moves out to the end of the line . When you get this you will then invite the horse to come back to you now this may happen with you just leaning back and the horse follows your weight transference. If it does not happen by your weight transference you ask slightly on the rope for the horse to come back into your space the minut the horse answers your question (by coming towards you ) release the pressure on the rope as the horse comes to you if you dont the horse will give you something else and then it becomes confusing .

Its like softening your hands when you are riding

When you get good at this all you need do is lean towards your horse (into his space ) and he will back away and lean back asking him to come into your space .

There is many things to achive before this game and also some horses do not understand or cannot move their feet in order to back away.

Basically it is based on the way horses in herds move each other around by pressure if you look at the lead horse all he/she need do is move through the herd and others will mover out of the way

Does that make sense ??

Perfect sense :)

He's doing quite well with it, but not exactly perfect. It is a work in progress!
