wanted quiet horse, from 15hh-16hh preferably,
will consider all breeds and types within reason.
anything from 7 years to 13 years but may cosider older depending on the horse
must have a fair bit of milege in the experience department- 100% in traffic, to box, shoe,catch etc.
must have good jump and be genuine.
suitable for teenager wishing to attend jumping leagues, hunter trials ,small competitions, hacking(alone and in company) and general riding(regular lessons, hacking with friends etc). rider is not total novice- has jumped up to 1m, hunted, show jumped etc.
prefrably in the midlands area.

unfortunately I don't know of any Iona, but best of luck in your search. Sounds like you've got a broad enough range that you will hopefully find your perfect horse soon.

This is the HARDEST type of horsie to find, and sooo many people will agree with me. Maybe we were looking too cheap, at the time under 4k...and still it took me almost 4 years to find what I was looking for. I had other horses in between, and I ended up buying a 3year old last year, and he's working out quite well so far!

heya, Heard of a cob yesterday which was recommended to a lady in our yard. Must follow him up for you. He's in sligo, 15.2, competed in RC dressage and show jumping, has hunted and hunter trialed so XC should be no prob. Currently working in a riding school as owner has no time for him. Keep after me till I get more info for you.

if u r still looking for one let me know. i know of a cob who has done everything. pc, hunted, huntertrialled. i schooled him last year on the flat and over jumps. brought him to a derby and came fifth over a course of 90 to 1m. hes quiet with kids.

a sorry, have found the perfect one! although theris some one else looking for one, possibly louthlunatic..i think.
