Hay round bales

we're looking for round hay bales, and from someone who will deliver. Will be getting a years supply so need 40 bales-ish.

Our guy is looking for €38 each which seems very high to me :eek:

Where is he transporting them from and how good are they? Will ask dad about rates, he doesn't deliver that far over but of few of his pals do.

from north galway i think. he says they're better than last years batch, which were reasonably ok, bit dusty but a lot better than what a lot of others were selling.

Yeah thats high at 38, Farmers journal has a few adds and also article saying 30 is the average asking price for good hay and 25 for poorer quality. some adds say they deliver

June hay saved without rain in wexford, good enough hay €28 per bale, hay he'd give me for my horse €32 per bale, delivery included up to a certain distance and extra after that. Min load 24 bales at that rate.

38 is very high!! We're all getting bales at around 25/30 euros each including delivery!!

I'm looking for round bales of hay, probably about 20/25 bales if anyone knows where to get?

I'm located in Kildare so if it was near i could collect if need be!

You'll be doing well at that price, have heard of it from €30 up to €48 a bale, there is very little good hay out there this year. Some of the cheaper stuff ends up costing money as so much of it has to be thrown out.

but i think he is very lucky that he got it as good as he did.

Have actually now got off my arse and have phoned a few people. And surprise surprise there is plenty of hay out there, this years good hay and is €25 per bale starting off.

Phew. Another thing off the list.:clap:
