Buck Brannaman was the inspiration for Nicholas Evans' lead character in his book, The Horse Whisperer, who was later portrayed by Robert Redford in the movie. He is a phenominal Horseman.
Buck Brannaman is the author of books himself: Believe: A Horseman's Journey, The Faraway Horses and Groundwork. As well as several DVDs on Horsemanship.
Transcending all labels in the English and Western riding worlds, this dressage-style cowboy’s approach to natural horsemanship enlightens even the toughest skeptics. Seemingly simple, his profound common sense method takes horsemanship to its highest level
This film was created to move people to make changes in how they deal with horses and life's challenges. Buck Brannaman is a true cowboy who has overcome tremendous personal odds. This film intends to inspire people to improve their horsemanship and their way of life. It will motivate and teach through principles of respect, partnership and trust rather than anger, fear and intimidation.
It's all for the horse
Much of the documentaries footage was shot at a friends property where they hold many of his clincs.
