What do people think of these? Are the good to ride in does anyone know? Kinda want a recomendation before i buy. Do you think they would be any cheaper in the factory shop in Galway?

I have a pair of the Galway boots. Fabulous for wading though mud and water, and very comfortable - but I wouldn't ride in them. Too broad and thick soles. Don't know if the Clare would be different.

They look very nice, but if you want something that you can also ride in, I would highly recommend the Ariat Grasmeres. I've had mine for over a year now and I love them - I ride in them sometimes, I've worn them with a short tweed skirt at Badminton and they also look good with jeans! :)

I agree with Teegee about the Dubarry being a bit chunky for riding there is very little "feel" in them but very good and smart for other work.

It says on their website that the sole is designed for riding? Now i'm totally confused!
