Rug Fillings

Has anyone noticed that there appears to be a big difference in rug filling between makes?
eg
Brand X - 400 grs

Versus

Brand Y - 400grs

Now maybe its the different materials used but I have found that some 400 grs in one make are more like 200 grs in an another


Anyone else find this?

Haven't had much experience of rugs GS but is filling weight not supposed to be a standard thing, like duvet togs?

they should all give the same warmth but sometimes it depends on what kind of filling is used as some of them appear heavier than others. Horseware website have a good explanation of the different types of filling they use.
I have an old heavy weight rug which is a tonne weight to pick up and a new heavy weight one i got last winter which is much "lighter" to pick up. But equally would give the same warmth.
