Equimax® Tabs are the first broad spectrum equine palatable worming tablets, allowing the routine worming procedure to be a stress-free and pleasant experience for the horse, as well as for the horse owner.

Equimax® Tabs are palatable oral tablets for horses containing the same concentration of active ingredients as Equimax® Gel: 20 mg ivermectin and 150 mg of praziquantel. Equimax® Tabs are intended to be administered orally to horses for the treatment of infestations due to roundworms, tapeworms and bots.

The tablets are specifically designed to optimise ease of administration, prehension, mastication and acceptability by horses. Multiple features in the design of the tablet were thoroughly investigated, using breakthrough technology, in order to achieve this.

Shape of the tablet: biconcave shape gives it a "sweet-like" appearance and makes it more familiar to horses

Thickness of the tablet: optimised thickness to ensure horses will take it from the palm of the hand (improved prehension)

Hardness of the tablet: optimised hardness for ease of mastication =>not too soft and chewy, not too hard to cause pain when chewing

Apple extract: extracts of apples from Normandy give the tablet an irresistible odour and taste to maximise palatability

The development of individual tablets, each containing the correct dosage of active ingredients to treat 100 kg bodyweight, packaged in tubes containing 8 tablets, allows for an accurate dosage up to 800 kg bodyweight, avoiding any risk of under-dosing.

Well it's about the same price as a syringe of Equimax, which treats 700kg bodyweight...

very good idea but I don't know if it would fool all horses - mine can smell medicine a mile off! . We get them all injected - much easier

I reckon Texas would sniff through the apple flavour a mile away too!
we get ours injected once a year, then Curasol every 8 weeks. Vet uses same programme with all his horses and it's pretty cost-effective!

How much are those tablet things anyway?

I know someone who hopes to try them too but I cannot get them at all!

ok, holmestead do not stock them and will not be.

TRI are all out no idea when back in stock. None in horseware newbridge but they do have them in horseware dundalk. On the plus side they will post out if you buy over phone 24 euro for 8 tabs

if anywhere closer had them in stock that would be handy
