View Full Version : Advise needed on fly sheets
This will probably sound a bit daft to you all but I need any advise on really strong fly sheets. Now the weather is turning here slightly we have quite a large number of flies and midges (its still pretty warm during the day but humid at night). I need fly sheets that cover the horses from head to tail, that are made of a strong mesh but.....that are not too hot or heavy. I brought some from the UK last year which had lycra connecting the neck to the main body part of the rug. They ripped in a number of days, fell down from the poll area and cost a small fortune. I need to buy 5 or 6 so budget....economic is very important.

A friend of mine has a Horseware Rambo "Protector" and it works very well for her gelding. She lives near a lake so the midges can be awful as well.

Horseware Protector or Sweetitch hoody. Both are indestructible from my experience. Boett was wonderful but got shredded at the chest leaning on stud railing
