I have looking into this bedding for a while now. I had been using chopped straw up until now but I have a couple of horses who are like leaking taps and the beds were constantly soggy and stinking. Now I dont have time to do a full muck out twice a day so I needed something super absorbent.

I was in two minds weather to go to the expense of a total change and because I couldn't find anyone else who had used it, I was, to say the least, a little hesitant. But one day last week I had just had enough, so I bit the bullet and made the call. I ordered a full pallet of this untried, untested (among my circle anyway) stuff.

So I have spent the last week shovelling the proverbial and stable by stable, making the change.

The website for this bedding claims that it can absorb 4 times its volume in moisture, that it is always pleasant smelling, that it cuts the muck heap size by four and it's dust free. Sounds too good to be true-right???

Wrong!!!!

It does exactly what it says on the bag! My ISH mare is heavily in foal and VERY wet. Her stable is huge and the worst in the yard by far to muck out. I bedded her with it first. And for three days solid, all I literally took out was droppings (this stuff is like a powder/sandy type substance but it's made from wood, so it just falls through the fork leaving the droppings behind). It was heaven sent to me and I strongly recommend it to anyone short on time or labour.

And no I don't work for them or have any association with the company. I just thought Id share the good news!!
