Hi all, anyone got a Bateson Deauville trailer, or compared them to a Ifor 506?

My main concern that it's a steel (galv) floor, whereas the Ifor (AFAIK) is Ally.

It also appears to be lighter than the Ifor (860 vs. 920kg)

The stalls aren’t quite as wide .79m compared to .83m - makes all the difference for a 'widebody' like myself! (Or her horse - hmm... SHMBO does seem to have a type preference when it comes to her men! :)

Cheers for the attachment, Galv floor should be okay, but I'm thinking like you that aluminum is preferred and will never rust away. You might find a very clean ifor 510 for sale from a reputable dealer for a reasonable price now. Haggle like hell as they say and you'll get a bargain.

Bf just bought a 510. they were asking silly prices in a lot of places! I was surprised.

I've seen Bateson Deauville's at a couple of shows and I don't like them "cosmetically" but I haven't heard what they're like to tow...

I have an Ifor 511 and I love it - Ali seems to love it too! We had a 505 before and the 511 is much more airy inside and he travels much better in it. My "chauffeur" says it tows much better than the 505 as well :)

They are excellent to tow.
